SIGEP 2027: dates, venue and key figures
The 48th edition of SIGEP World takes place at the Rimini Expo Centre from Saturday 23 to Wednesday 27 January 2027. It is the international foodservice exhibition for gelato, pastry, bakery, pizza, chocolate and coffee. Admission is reserved for trade professionals, with online registration.
The 2026 edition brought together 1,300 brands across 138,000 square metres and 30 halls, with visitors from 160 countries. For 2027 the organisers aim to double the number of international buyers, from 502 to around one thousand.
What’s new at SIGEP 2027
Vietnam is the Guest Country. New for this edition are an International Pavilion for foreign delegations and business matchmaking, and a dedicated space for fine pastry and speciality coffee aimed at luxury hospitality. For the first time the exhibition also opens up to retail chains and travel catering.
The Kitchen Equipment Hub for foodservice technology returns, together with the Digital District on robotics and artificial intelligence, the Vision Plaza and the Sustainability District. The programme also includes the major competitions: the Gelato World Cup – Europe Selection, Bread in the City – Bakery World Cup and the Italian Barista Championships.
Frigomeccanica’s new products at the stand
Frigomeccanica’s new products are previewed at the stand. Alongside them, the furnishings are shown in real configurations, arranged by trade:
- ice-cream display cabinets, from open-view pans to pozzetto wells;
- pastry display cabinets for patisseries, bakeries and chocolate makers;
- counters and bar-back units for bar furnishings and cafés.
Every layout can be seen up close: materials, finishes, LED lighting and the flow of service.
Furnishing technology: design and refrigeration from the same factory
Frigomeccanica designs and manufactures professional furnishings and commercial refrigeration for HoReCa and food retail, with over 50 years of experience. The structures and the refrigeration technology are built in the same factory. This is why a display cabinet is designed together with the counter that houses it, and modularity allows each layout to be adapted to the space of the venue. All products are Made in Italy.
